Connecting your Model X

Connect once, classify weekly.

Model X logs into the Tesla account the same way every other model does. DriveLog connects to the account and starts collecting trips. Because Model X is often used in mixed mode, we put extra emphasis on geofence zones. Set a zone around home, office, cabin, preschool and your most frequent clients, and rules handle most of the work for you.

1. Sign in with Tesla

Same account as the Tesla app. No other access needed.

2. Add more zones

The family car visits more places. Worth spending five extra minutes on zone setup.

3. Review on Sunday

Ten minutes in bed on Sunday morning. Done for the week.

What mixed driving looks like to Skatteverket.

A Model X used as a company car with significant private use is a classic case where a messy log gets expensive. Skatteverket questions whether private use is really limited and wants to see every trip with date, time, odometer, start, end, purpose and driver.

DriveLog does it for you. Mark a private trip to the cabin with a rule, and the whole chain is classified. Business trips are separated. The reviewer gets a seamless report and you avoid manipulation suspicions, because the audit trail shows that trips were logged when they happened.

Common questions

Questions about Model X and mileage logs.

Our Model X is a family car on weekends and a company car on weekdays. Does it work?

That is exactly what DriveLog is made for. Set rules for weekday times and routes, and classify the remaining trips on Sunday. Two minutes per week.

Six seats, drivers change often. How is that logged?

Every trip is logged against the Tesla account. Driver changes happen in the app, manually or with pattern matching. For mixed driving we recommend marking the main driver and adjusting individual trips.

With trailer or boat in the summer. Does that affect the odometer or log?

No. The car measures distance regardless of load or trailer. Odometer at start and stop reads the same as always.

What happens during a Supercharger pause?

A charging break does not split the trip in the log as long as the car stays at most 30 minutes and stops near the route. Longer stops split the trip, which you can classify separately.

How are trips to the summer house classified?

Set a geofence around the house and a rule classifying trips in and out as private. The cabin run becomes private without you thinking about it.
