Mileage log Tesla Model Y

Automatic mileage log for Tesla Model Y.

Model Y is the most sold car in Sweden and a favorite as a company car. MPH DriveLog connects to your Tesla account, logs every trip, and builds a mileage log that stands up to a Skatteverket audit. No dongle, no cable, nothing in the car.

Connecting your Model Y

All you do is sign in.

Model Y reports position, odometer, timestamps and route directly from the car. DriveLog pulls that data through the Tesla API once you approve access. No dongles, no cable under the dash, no extra app in the car. You sign in at app.drivelog.mphvision.com, pick Tesla, approve, and within seconds you see your recent trips.

1. Connect the Tesla account

Sign in with the same account you use for the Tesla app and approve access. Nothing else needed.

2. Mark your zones

Draw a circle around home, office and your usual clients. Trips in and out classify against your rules.

3. Drive as usual

Model Y logs every trip. You review when it suits you, usually ten minutes on Sunday evening.

Swedish Tax Agency

What does Model Y as a company car need?

If your Model Y is a company car and you do not want full benefit taxation, you must show that private use is limited. You do that with a continuous mileage log containing date, time, odometer at start and stop, start and end of the route, purpose and driver.

DriveLog fills in every line for you. Odometer and times come from the car. Geofence and rules handle classification. You add purpose and notes where needed and export PDF or CSV when Skatteverket asks.

Common questions

Questions about Model Y and mileage logs.

Does MPH DriveLog work with every Model Y from 2020 onwards?

Yes. Long Range, Performance and Standard Range from 2020 onwards log the same way. You sign in with your Tesla account, approve access, and trips appear right away.

My Model Y is a company car. Is this enough for the Swedish benefit taxation?

Yes. The automatic log covers everything Skatteverket asks for: date, time, odometer, start, end, purpose and driver. You show that private use is limited and avoid full benefit tax.

How does it work when both my partner and I drive the Model Y?

You set rules for who usually drives which routes and times, and adjust individual trips manually when needed. Rules quickly learn who drove Stockholm to Uppsala on Thursday evening.

We do school drop-offs and pickups. How are those classified?

Set a geofence around the school and a rule that trips between home and school are private. The rest of the trips are classified separately. Two minutes in the app.

What happens if the Model Y is in service and a loaner is used?

Loaners are not logged, since they are not tied to your Tesla account. Trips in a loaner must be added manually if you want to include them.
